Barcelona Trip - LEGO Passport

Barcelona Trip - LEGO Passport

Hi there. It's been about two months since I joined the AI team, and I recently spent a week visiting the Barcelona office to work in person with the team, as they are all based there now. I didn't feel like writing a long travelogue, so I decided to post short, themed write-ups instead.

On the last day of my trip, as I was taking the D50 bus back to the hotel, I spotted the Barcelona LEGO Store along the way. I decided to pop in and take a look, and most importantly, see if I could get my LEGO Passport! The last time I visited the Milan store, they had run out of booklets and I had to leave empty-handed.

You're probably wondering what on earth a LEGO Passport is! That's fair; I only found out about it myself a few months ago :) The gist of it is that LEGO runs a passport program (it seems it started in 2014, but they rebooted and redesigned it in March 2023) where anyone visiting an official LEGO store anywhere in the world can pick up a passport-shaped booklet for free, without needing to make a purchase (I've shared photos of my own passport later in this post). The store has unique and sometimes seasonal stamps that they print on your passport. Naturally, for AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO) and serious collectors, it's a great way to collect unique LEGO stamps. Some of these stamps are only obtained by attending specific events (like the Lego Insider Tour or Lego Campus) or are stamps that are no longer printed. You can find many of them in this subreddit: LEGOpassport

And so, I started collecting these stamps in Barcelona on July 3rd, 2026, at 8:20 PM :)
